Who'd Have Thought It Inn

Dog FriendlyPub

Food hygiene rating pending

The name suggests someone was surprised to find a pub here at all, and St Dominick does take a bit of finding. Paul and Emma Tarplee run it as a proper village hub: locals in for a pint, visitors who have made the detour, families spread across a table. Dogs are welcome throughout, with bowls on hand. It is the kind of place that keeps the traditional Cornish pub going by simply being one.

Homemade food and local real ales are the backbone, with regular live music nights and three ensuite double rooms upstairs if you would rather not drive home. Food runs Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm, with a longer Sunday service until 3:30pm. Drinks are served from noon daily, until 10pm early in the week and 10:30pm Thursday to Saturday. Book if you are eating; tables are not guaranteed otherwise.
