The View Bar & Cafe

The View sits inside Teignmouth's Pavilions building on the seafront, split across two floors that work almost as two separate venues. The ground-floor cafe opens early for takeaway coffee, breakfast baps, toasties and ice creams, aimed at people passing along the front. Upstairs, the restaurant and terrace open later and lean into the setting properly, with panoramic views down the Teignmouth coastline from the tables outside.

The menu upstairs runs wider than the cafe's quick bites - burgers, pizzas, fish dishes like cod goujons, and a vegan Penang curry among the options, plus an evening set menu at a fixed price for two courses. It's wheelchair and pushchair accessible throughout, which matters given the building's dual-level layout. Between the two floors it covers most of a day out on the seafront - a fast coffee stop in the morning, a proper sit-down meal with a view in the afternoon or evening - without needing to leave the building.
