The Original Pasty House

Opened in the heart of Tavistock in 2003 and joined by a second shop on Plymouth's Armada Way in 2011, this is an independent cafe that has spent over twenty years earning its local following. The pasties are award-winning West Country ones, and the wider approach is community-minded: produce sourced from local butchers, greengrocers and bakeries wherever possible, and a 5-star food hygiene rating to back up the kitchen work.

Both shops carry the full range - pasties, freshly baked pastries, savouries, barista-made coffee and sweet treats - alongside daily-made wraps, flatbreads, sourdough toasties, baguettes, salads, homemade cakes and iced frappes, lattes and teas. Buffet catering covers Devon and East Cornwall for weddings, corporate events, funerals and celebrations, with platters and grazing tables delivered and set up or packed ready for collection.
