The Old Thatch Inn

Cheriton Bishop sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, and this is the village pub at the heart of it, run by Kate, Richard and Otis. Head chef Matt builds an ever-changing seasonal menu around Devon suppliers including Wright Brothers, MC Kelly and Goosemoor, with sustainability and animal welfare guiding the choices. The fish and chips have a following, and Rosemary Shrager has reviewed them. Sunday specials run alongside the main menu, and a takeaway list is available seven days a week.
