Shoreline at Paignton Beach

Shoreline sits right on Eastern Esplanade, on Paignton seafront, with floor-to-ceiling windows that put the whole bay in view from the tables. It's a family and dog friendly cafe-bar-restaurant that runs all day, from breakfast through to evening drinks, and has picked up a run of local recognition for it - a Food and Drink Devon Gold Award and Business of the Year gold two years running, plus Restaurant Guru shout-outs for best view and best burgers.

The menu leans on wood-fired pizza, craft beer and proper barista coffee, alongside mussels, crab and other seafood, burgers, and charcuterie boards, with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian options built in rather than an afterthought. Friday evenings bring 'Fishy Fry-Day' - battered monkfish, fries and a glass of wine for £16 - and there's a seasonal Christmas menu each year. Opening hours run from 9.30am daily, stretching later into the evening on Fridays and Saturdays.
