ROAM

ROAM is a gift and homeware shop at 7 The Triangle in Teignmouth, not a cafe or restaurant, opened in August 2020 by David and Tanya, who also run The Drifting Bear Co, a Devon lifestyle store voted among the best in the county. It's worth knowing that going in - there's no food or drink served here, just a carefully curated shop.

The stock leans heavily on local and independent makers: handcrafted jewellery and ceramics, candles made in Devon, artwork and prints, cushions, blankets, mugs, bags and personalised gifts. Staff are knowledgeable about where things come from and happy to talk through the makers behind individual pieces rather than just ring things through the till. It's the kind of shop suited to slow browsing rather than a quick errand, a good stop for a gift with some story behind it while exploring Teignmouth's Triangle.
