Milo's Cafe

CafeBreakfast

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Milo's Cafe took over the site formerly known as Tea by the Quay on Northumberland Place, in the heart of Teignmouth, and kept the same idea of a home from home rather than reinventing it. It's family run, and the aim stated plainly on the menu is good food, good company and a great atmosphere, made from the freshest ingredients they can source locally.

Full breakfasts are the backbone of the menu, generously portioned by most accounts, alongside a traditional cream tea served properly in bone china with freshly baked scones and a decent spread of pastries besides. The cafe is dog friendly and does a steady trade with regulars as well as passing summer visitors. It's a straightforward all-day breakfast and cream tea stop rather than anywhere trying to be clever, and reviews consistently rate it for exactly that - honest food, served without fuss, in the middle of town.
