Holly Tree Inn

Pub

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

The Holly Tree Inn sits on Withycombe Village Road, about a mile out from Exmouth town centre, and has the feel of a proper village local rather than a seafront pub chasing passing trade. Nigel and his family have run it for around five years, carrying it through a change of ownership from St Austell to another pub company in late 2023 without losing the character that keeps people coming back.

There's a beer garden and car park, dogs and children are welcome, and the pub keeps a good range of ales, lagers and craft beers behind the bar. It's known locally for live music nights, a regular quiz, and the Sunday meat draw that draws a proper crowd. With a 4.3-star rating from close to 190 Google reviews, it has built the kind of community reputation that comes from being a genuine neighbourhood pub rather than a destination one.
