Food hygiene rating pending

The Turk's Head has stood on Exeter High Street for over seven hundred years, which makes it one of the oldest pubs in the region and gives its walls a decent claim on the city's history. There are cosy bedrooms above the bar if the evening runs long.

Since 2021 it has brewed its own, and the microbrewery is the heart of the place - head brewer Tilly turns out the legendary Fat Boy IPA alongside an ever-changing line-up, most recently the Black Lagoon nitro stout. It is also Exeter's ultimate sports pub, with eight big screens carrying Sky and TNT, so expect noise on a match day and buttermilk chicken and waffles to go with it.
