Ticklemore Cheese Dairy

Ticklemore is a small independent dairy near Totnes, owned and run by Ben and Laura Harris, and it does one thing: blue cheese. Three of them, in fact, each from a different milk, all sourced from local farms.

Devon Blue is the cows' milk cheese, Beenleigh Blue the sheep's and Harbourne Blue the goats', and between them they cover most of what a blue cheese can be asked to do - they stand in for blue in almost any recipe and turn up in kitchens well beyond Devon. One point of confusion worth clearing up: the name Ticklemore is also used for a goat cheese made by Sharpham Dairy, but this is a separate, independent business.
