The Thatched House
- Eat
- Exeter
The Thatched House started as the farmhouse for Foxhaye's Farm in the 1600s and became a pub in 1937, and it now anchors the corner where Exwick meets Foxhayes, by the river and the playing fields. Real fires in winter, a garden in summer, dogs and children welcome.
Up to eight real ales, mostly local, share the bar with home cooked food at fair prices, including a carvery. There is a pool table, darts, board games and a quiz - the full local's toolkit. Closed Mondays.
