The Otter Inn

Sitting on the river Otter with a garden that does a lot of the heavy lifting in summer, this is a family run pub that has not tried to be anything other than a proper Devon local. Otter Ales and local cider are on, and the Cask Marque certificate on the wall says the real ales are looked after rather than just poured. The locals bar has a pool table and keeps its own crowd.

Food is cooked to order in house, with pub classics, daily specials, a widely used 2-4-1 menu, vegetarian and vegan options and a children's menu for under 10s. The carvery runs Thursdays and Sundays, with an all the meats option and carvery baguettes on Sunday. Summer brings foot long hot dog meals and BBQ ribs by the full or half rack. Dogs are welcome outside on a lead; inside tables are limited, so book.
