The Exeter Brewery

The Exeter Brewery began as one small brew on the Exminster Marshes nature reserve in 2003, and was properly founded by Alan Collyer in 2007. It has since moved into the heart of the city, two hundred yards from Exeter St David's station, which makes it one of the easier breweries in Devon to reach without a car.

Avocet is the flagship - Devon's first organic ale, a Champion Beer of Britain finalist and a Taste of the West winner - backed by County Best, the Darkness stout and its 0.5% version, EX4, Lighterman and a rotating cast of seasonal specials. The taproom pours them alongside an award-winning Tom's Pie served with mash, minted peas and rich gravy, and there is nationwide delivery for anyone too far away to visit.
