Sweet Little Things

Sweet Little Things is a bakery and tea room at 5 Old Bond Street in Bath, a short walk from the Roman Baths and the Abbey, and known locally for its pink, heavily photographed interior as much as what's on the counter. Everything is made from scratch on site: choux buns filled with combinations like pistachio praline, white chocolate mousse and raspberry purée, cupcakes topped with Italian meringue buttercream in flavours such as biscoff and lemon curd, and thick stuffed brownies made with Valrhona chocolate in Oreo, Kinder and salted caramel versions.

Warm cookies come with soft-serve ice cream on top, and there's Jersey soft serve on its own too, alongside sundaes and cones. Afternoon tea runs by booking, and macarons and gift boxes are available for postal delivery for anyone outside Bath. Gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options sit alongside the standard menu rather than as an afterthought. It's open every day, 9.30am to 5.30pm, and works as well for a quick cookie as for a sit-down afternoon tea.
