- Stoke Gabriel
Sandridge Barton has been making wine on the banks of the River Dart for over forty years, on a farm that was once home to the Elizabethan navigator John Davis. The vineyards run down the valley slopes at Stoke Gabriel, and the estate works now as farm, winery and restaurant in one.
The wines are award-winning and range wider than you might expect - alongside the classics there is East Field Madeleine Angevine and a skin-contact Pinot Gris called Little Bee. Book a vineyard tour or take the self-guided tasting, and order the cheese board alongside it. ROAM, the restaurant on site, is built on the same sense of place.
