Rendezvous Wine Bar

Rendezvous is tucked into Exeter's leafy Southernhay quarter, an independent cellar-style wine bar and restaurant with a sunny garden as well as the cosy room below. It handles a quick lunch and a long dinner equally well, which is harder than it sounds.

The list runs to over eighty wines from around the world, alongside celebrated champagnes, draught lagers and regional ales, and the team are more than happy to talk about any of it. Chef Tim Andrews cooks West Country food from daily deliveries - Wright Brothers of Brixham, Fordmore Farm at Cullompton, Forest Produce at Uffculme, Richard's Greengrocer in Topsham. Cash is still king here, though cards are welcome too.
