Pretty Little Bakes Coffee Room

Pretty Little Bakes Coffee Room is run by Kayla, a self-taught home baker, from a unit at The Quadrangle, Seale Hayne, just outside Newton Abbot. It grew out of her online bakery business, Kayla's Pretty Little Bakes, which makes celebration cakes and both sweet and savoury bakes to order, and the coffee room gives that business a physical spot where people can pop in for a coffee and a slice rather than only ordering online.

The coffee room serves homemade cakes, brownies, cookies and pastries alongside coffee, and is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 2.30pm and Saturday mornings until 2pm, closed Sundays. The wider bakery business still takes bespoke cake orders and offers free delivery in the area, so regulars tend to know Kayla both as the person behind the counter and as the baker making custom celebration cakes on the side.
