Panino has been baking at the Anchor Building on Battle Road since 2006, an independently owned wholesale operation supplying pubs, restaurants and shops across Devon. Plenty of people in the county have eaten their bread without ever knowing whose it was.

The range goes well beyond loaves: steak pies, steak pasties, a chunky roast veg pasty that happens to be vegan, pork ale and mustard sausage rolls, and traybakes from salted caramel brownie to lemon and polenta pistachio cake. Bespoke products are developed with their own bakers and pastry chefs, so this is a trade supplier first - worth knowing if you run a kitchen.
