Notorio is a family-run kitchen working out of the Royal Oak pub on Fore Street in Heavitree, cooking a refined take on Pan-Asian food from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. It isn't a separate restaurant so much as a kitchen with its own identity inside an established pub, and the menu changes often enough that regulars are encouraged to keep coming back for whatever's new.

Signature dishes include Thai green curry with prawns over rice, Korean fried chicken with slaw, pork dan dan noodles with tenderstem broccoli, and Sichuan pork bao, alongside pub-classic crossovers like a Notorio poutine and triple-cooked cheesy chips. There's a pre-bookable Sunday roast too. Food service runs Wednesday to Saturday afternoons and evenings, dine-in or takeaway, which keeps it a bit of a local secret - the kind of place people find through word of mouth rather than passing trade on Fore Street.
