Monkton Elm Garden Centre

Family owned and firmly rooted in the heart of Somerset, this Taunton garden centre has grown into a proper destination rather than a quick stop for compost. The Daily Mail named it one of the UK's top 25 garden centres in 2024, and it holds membership of the Garden Centre Association. Alongside the plants there is a restaurant and a farm shop, which is what turns a garden errand into a morning out.

The plant range is claimed as the most extensive in the South West, backed by a five year guarantee, and it sits alongside flowerpots, patios, garden buildings, houseplants, seeds and bulbs, bird care and pet supplies, with garden and pet experts on hand. There is a loyalty club, free parking with disabled and child-friendly bays, wheelchair-friendly access throughout and free wheelchairs available. Dogs are welcome. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm, Sunday 10.15am to 4.15pm.
