Melting Whisk

Melting Whisk is a small chocolate maker in Dawlish that would rather talk about flavour than percentages or cocoa mass. The aim, as they put it, is chocolate as fun to eat as it is to look at, and the colours back that up.

The bonbons are the thing here - always colourful, with new flavours dreamt up all the time. The fastest seller pairs tangy mango gel with a sweet passionfruit caramel in a white chocolate shell; there is a zingy lemon gel on soft marshmallow, and a house version of a Mars bar with vanilla caramel over airy chocolate nougat. If a bonbon is not enough, the snack bars are built for not sharing, and the handmade Easter eggs are worth planning ahead for.
