Keyberry

RestaurantHotel

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Keyberry is a traditional pub on Kingskerswell Road in Newton Abbot that also lets rooms - it came under new management in 2025 as a family-run business built around food, drink and entertainment at weekends. The pub side runs real ale, bar snacks and a traditional Sunday roast, with a skittle alley, outside seating, live music and the odd DJ night keeping it more of a social hub than a quiet local.

Accommodation runs to a handful of rooms with a traditional breakfast included, which makes it as much a stopover as a place to eat - useful for anyone visiting Newton Abbot without a car-based hotel in mind. Food service is concentrated around weekends rather than a full seven-day kitchen, so it's worth checking ahead if a meal rather than a drink is the plan. Worth noting: this is a pub and small hotel first, with food built around that rather than a standalone restaurant.
