Hops + Crafts

Hops + Crafts is the passion project of Chris Harper, an American expat who spent eight years in Fort Collins, Colorado - beer heaven - and arrived in Exeter in 2012 to find the beer scene rather disappointing. After a few years of waiting for somebody else to fix it, he opened the shop in 2015.

It is still Exeter's only dedicated craft beer bottle shop, carrying over 200 different beers from the UK, Belgium, Germany and the USA, with the selection evolving constantly. There is no interest here in the war over real ale versus craft beer - just good beer they like enough to share, traditional ales included. Full cases can be ordered in with enough notice.
