Heyday's opened on Exmouth seafront in late 2024, in the beach-hut-shaped unit at Sideshore that used to be Mickey's, a wide pavement back from the sand. It's run by the team behind Swim in Lyme Regis and Rise Cafe Bar and Rise Market & Bakery in Bridport - Richard Cooper, Nikki Craven, Andy Briggs and Kyle Clarke - who have brought the same relaxed, all-day format to Exmouth: two levels of beach-view seating, a rooftop, and a menu that runs from breakfast through to evening cocktails.
The food leans indulgent rather than fussy, backed up by local beers, a solid cocktail list and proper coffee, and the venue keeps things family-friendly with dogs welcome and step-free access throughout. It's open seven days a week, which matters on a stretch of coast where a lot of places shut early out of season. Live music features regularly, and with over 260 Google reviews it's already established itself as one of the more sociable spots on Exmouth's seafront.
