The Fat Pig

A Victorian corner local behind Fore Street, brought back to life in 2008 and quietly excellent ever since. The Fat Pig brews its own beer in the cellar, keeps around a hundred single malts behind the bar, and cooks locally sourced food that punches well above pub level.

The Sunday roast is the headline - beef or pork with all the trimmings - and the seasonal small plates carry the rest of the week. Evenings and weekends only, so plan around it.
