FoodLoose

FoodLoose is a community benefit society - a refill shop run predominantly by volunteers, set up by four women who'd noticed how hard modern food shopping made it to avoid plastic packaging. Customers bring their own containers and buy from a range that runs from porridge oats, rice, pasta, dried fruit, nuts, herbs and spices to oils and vinegars on tap, plus chocolate buttons and other treats sold loose.

Personal care and cleaning products are stocked the same way, in minimal packaging, and the shop also runs an online plastic-free shop for local collection or delivery. The shop holds a 5-star food hygiene rating.
