Coffee Lounge

Coffee Lounge is a small bakery-cafe on The Parade in Exmouth, doing sweet treats to take away alongside a proper sit-down cafe menu. Breakfast is the main draw - a Large Breakfast, a Full Monty and a Brunch Wrap are among the most popular orders - and through the rest of the day there are jacket potatoes, paninis, sandwiches and baguettes at reasonable prices. Coffee gets particular praise from regulars, alongside the home-baked cakes on the counter.

The inside is set up to be a place to linger rather than grab and go, with comfy chairs and sofas and card and board games out for customers to use. It's closed Sundays and Mondays, open Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm and Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm, so it's a weekday and Saturday spot rather than a weekend brunch destination. Staff are consistently described as friendly, and it's the kind of unhurried neighbourhood cafe that rewards a slow morning.
