Bumble and Sea

A beachside cafe right at Orcombe Point in Exmouth, at the western end of the Jurassic Coast where the red cliffs start - one of the more scenic spots in town to sit with a coffee. It's part of a small local group alongside Bumble & Bee and Bumble & Tee, and the coffee is the point: the cafe leans on what it calls its best beans, quality milk and a perfect blend rather than trying to be all things to all customers.

The food side runs to filled rolls, classic fish and chips, savoury pasties, homemade cakes with gluten-free options, vegan brownies, flapjacks and plant-based ice cream, plus Portuguese tarts. It's open daily from 7am to 6pm, which makes it as much an early dog-walk coffee stop as a lunch destination, and the beachfront setting means outdoor seating is the main draw whenever the weather allows it.
