UKRAINIAN ASTERIX This design is a tribute to Asterix – a comic book series dedicated to the Gallic fight against the occupation by the Roman Republic, with the aid of a magic potion. The series tell us about the formation of various European nations in a historical, metaphoric and humorous manner.
Ukranians (who are generalized here as "Sarmatians") are identified in the book with several East-European nations. In light of new political discourse, it's a time to call to each of them by their own name. Therefore, the plot of the current comic strip is based on the motif of a magic potion, altering the original outline of the story.
